Alan Carr astonishes Strike It Lucky player with filthy question on Epic Gameshow

Alan Carr ’s Epic Gameshow returned on Saturday with the cheeky comedian presenting a new version of Michael Barrymore's Strike It Lucky.

One of the pairs of players were Lyndsay and Pamela, who were answering the quick fire questions shot at them by Alan.

But one of Alan's questions was so filthy the shock was evident on Lyndsay's face, and the audience erupted into laugher.

"Right, this is about wind Lyndsay, it's called the mighty wind. These are all things that you can blow," said Alan, looking mischieveous.

"Two three or four?" he asked.

"We'll go for three," said Lyndsay.

"Three, OK Lyndsay. Memorably blown during George Michael's Careless Whisper," Alan read out the question while Lyndsay looked wide eyed and tried not to laugh.

"Saxophone," she guessed.

Lyndsay looked shocked as Alan fired 'blowing' related questions at her (ITV)

"Correct," said Alan, before moving on to the next blowing-related question.

"Trickier to blow all at the same time as you get older," he said.

"Candles," answered Lyndsay, correctly.

"Blowing this outside was my childhood past time," was the next question from Alan.

"A recorder?" guessed a giggly Lyndsay, but it was wrong and the question was given to her competitor Nikki who correctly guessed a dandelion clock.

The show elicited praise from viewers who applauded Alan's presenting skills, though some called for Michael Barrymore to return to the show which he originally fronted.

One viewer tweeted: "It should've been Michael Barrymore doing this whole series. Epic GameShow was tailor made for The Barrymore. Alan Carr is doing an alright job though. I'm glad it wasn't Stephen Mulhern. #EpicGameShow #StrikeItLucky ".

Another ranted: " #epicgameshow Alan Carr makes you realise how bloody good Barrymore was presenting this".

But another wrote: "I say this every week but Alan Carr is such a good host for #EpicGameshow he’s got such a nice rapport with the contestants. Loving Strike It Lucky. It’s definitely a show they could bring back. @ITV #AlanCarrEpicGameshow " added another.

" alancarrsepicgameshow How brilliant is Alan Carr on all these old gameshows?" remarked another.

* Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow continues Saturdays at 7:30pm on ITV.
