Alan Brazil in cheeky Rangers penalty dig as Ally McCoist swerves Brondby showdown swipe

Former Scotland international Alan Brazil couldn't resist a mischievous swipe at Rangers ahead of their Europa League clash.

Steven Gerrard 's side can give their chances of reaching the knockout stages a major jolt in Denmark against Brondby.

Having seen off the Danish champions at Ibrox, the Scottish Premiership leaders will be confident of another three points in the group stage.

A victory would see them fight it out with Sparta Prague for second spot in Group A.

However, it's domestic issues that seem to be catching the eye of Celtic-supporting broadcaster Brazil.

Rangers have come from behind in two of their last three league games to claim points, coming from two down to get a point against Aberdeen in the other, and move four points clear at the top of the table.

Brazil was more concerned with the penalties awarded to the champions against St Mirren and Aberdeen as he attempted to wind up fellow talkSPORT pundit Ally McCoist.

Rangers icon McCoist was full of confidence as he discussed the odds for Thursday's European fixtures.

When it was flagged up that a win is a must for Gerrard's men, McCoist said: 'I think they will win, I think they will get the result."

Brazil quipped: "What price on a Rangers penalty?"

McCoist wouldn't take the bait as he laughed off the jibe and quickly moved onto talking about Celtic's clash with Ferencvaros.

Brazil declared on that game: "I'm not interested. Old Firm game, Parkhead, that's the one."
