Alan Brazil groans at 'another' Rangers penalty as radio host's dropped points hopes are dashed

Celtic superfan Alan Brazil's hopes of two dropped Rangers points were dashed as the former striker was settling down for an early kip.

And the radio host feigned surprise as he groaned "penalty again".

The Premiership champions were struggling for inspiration against a dogged Hibs who looked like they were set to pinch a point off the Ibrox side just 10 days after dumping them out of the Premier Sports Cup.

But Ryan Porteous' challenge on Ryan Kent in the closing stages prompted a spot-kick call from referee John Beaton.

And Kemar Roofe made no mistake from 12 yards — much to Brazil's chagrin.

He was at least without sidekick Ally McCoist on Thursday morning and so avoided a ribbing but he still felt the pain of that late penalty.

Speaking on the talkSPORT Sports Breakfast, he groaned: "Another penalty...

"I let them finish off Bond, I'm lying in bed and I'm looking through.

"I'm like, 'Ooh, 0-0, ooh, hello, hello.'

"And then, penalty again, aargh.

"I've not seen it, I don't know if Rangers battered Hibs, I don't know."
