Alabama WR DeVonta Smith nchecking in a little light at pro day

Former Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith is one of the best three or four wide receivers in the NFL draft depending on who you ask. But if there is one thing that could scare off teams is might be his size. Smith spoke on Zoom on Monday and reported that he weighs 170 pounds at a height of 6-foot-1.

Smith also indicated he does not plan to do any on-field drills at Alabama’s pro day, choosing to stand on his production during the season heading into the draft. Smith won the Heisman Trophy after his 105-reception, 1,641-yard season but there will be teams worried that he is too small and opens himself up to too many big hits to be a true No. 1 receiver in the NFL.
