The Southeastern Conference led the way with 70 invitees followed by the ACC (60), Big Ten (50), Pac-12 (45) and Big 12 (29) among the so-called Power 5 conferences.

The American Athletic Conference led the way among the Group of 5 conferences with 17 participants followed by Conference USA (10) and the Mountain Wes (10) as well as Mid-American (9) and Sun Belt (5).
