Alabama’s first pass against Michigan went for an 85-yard touchdown

Alabama’s season isn’t ending the way Crimson Tide fans would have hoped when they started the season ranked No. 1 with Heisman Trophy candidate Tua Tagovailoa leading the team, but Nick Saban’s squad can reach 11 wins on the year with a victory over Jim Harbaugh and Michigan in the VRBO Citrus Bowl.

Alabama forced a three-and-out to start the game, and backup quarterback Mac Jones got off to a perfect start against the Wolverines defense, launching his first pass of the game downfield to an open Jerry Jeudy, who evaded the last defender and walked in for an 85-yard touchdown.

The catch put Jeudy over 1,000 receiving yards on the season, and made Crimson Tide history.
