Alabama RB Josh Jacobs (groin) to be limited at NFL Combine

Alabama leads the way with 11 participants in the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine. With a lot of NFL decision maker’s eyes on the Crimson Tide, there will be one prospect that won’t be getting as much attention.

Running back Joshua Jacobs is dealing with a groin injury and will do limited work in Indianapolis, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport:

Fortunately, it doesn’t sound major. Alabama’s pro day is scheduled for March 19, so Jacobs is hoping that he has recovered enough to take part in the drills he misses this upcoming week.

Jacobs entered the 2018 season as a relative unknown, but he showed plenty on the field for the Crimson Tide to be touted as the No. 1 RB in this year’s draft class.

Jacobs tallied 2,062 total yards of offense and scored 21 touchdowns over three years, even as he split time with other running backs, including another 2019 prospect in Damien Harris.
