Alabama opens as favorite over Ohio State

The number will seem familiar to Ohio State. The Buckeyes can look at it as another form of disrespect.

The opening line for the College Football Playoff championship game on Jan. 11 in Miami has Alabama a 7.5-point favorite over Ohio State. The over/under is 76, which means expect points galore.

Per Actionnetwork.com:

Alabama is listed as a -7.5 (+100) favorite vs. Ohio State. FanDuel is now offering a Crimson Tide moneyline of -275 and a Buckeyes moneyline of +230.

The Buckeyes were also 7.5 point underdogs in their CFP semifinal Friday against Clemson. All they did was go out and slam the Tigers, 49-28, in the Sugar Bowl.
