
Saudi State Minister for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir received in Riyadh on Monday a delegation of advisers to members of the US Congress.
Discussions focused on bilateral Saudi-American relations, highlighting their founding 75 years ago. They also discussed regional and international developments.
Separately, Muslim World League Secretary General Dr. Mohammad Al-Issa received a Congressional delegation.
The American officials praised the League’s efforts in combating extremist, violent and terrorist ideology and in building bridges of dialogue, understanding and cooperation between nations and peoples.
Al-Issa stressed that the League, representing Islamic scholars throughout the world, is keen on maintaining fruitful communication with the United States in order to achieve common goals.
