The Boston Celtics took care of business on Monday night knocking off Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat 110-105 at home.
The win helped Boston remain the four seed in the Eastern Conference and keep pace with the Indiana Pacers, who knocked off the Pistons 111-102 in Indiana.
The Celtics and the Pacers are on a collision course to match up in round one of the NBA playoffs and the Celtics understand how important it is to have home court advantage in that matchup.
On Monday, veteran Al Horford did his part with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists and post game he told reporters that it’s “very important” Boston gets home court for round one, according to Jay King of the Athletic.
Sitting at 46-32 this season, and 28-12 at home, the Celtics have four games remaining before the postseason begins.
They’ll have a rematch with these same Heat on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. tip before a huge matchup with the Pacers on Friday.
