Al Horford expected to play in Game 2 vs. Pacers

After going through his pregame workouts, Boston Celtics big man Al Horford is expected play against the Indiana Pacers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Playoffs’ first round. Horford was previously listed as questionable with an undisclosed illness.

Per Celtics head coach Brad Stevens, Horford fell ill on Tuesday night but would feel far in the morning despite staying home from shootaround.

Horford, a two-way playmaker for the Celtics, recorded a double-double against the Pacers in Game 1 with 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds while adding five assists and one steal.

The five-time All-Star averaged 13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.3 blocks and 0.9 steals per game in the regular season while shooting 53.5 percent from the field and 36.0 percent from three-point range.
