Akshay Kumar sells Mumbai apartment for Rs 4.25 crore - Details Inside

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, currently flying high with the release of his new movie 'Sky Force'. Amidst updates about the film's box office performance, reports state that the star has sold his apartment for an impressive Rs 4.25 crore.

As per property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards, the apartment, in Borivali East, Mumbai, was registered on January 21, 2025. Located in a sprawling 25-acre residential project, Oberoi Sky City, it offers a range of 3BHK, studio, and duplex apartments.

According to the documents, the apartment spans a carpet area of 1,073 sq. ft. (99.71 sq. m) and comes with two dedicated parking spaces. The transaction incurred a stamp duty payment of Rs 25.5 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000. Akshay had reportedly purchased the property for just around Rs 2.38 crore in November 2017, and the recent sale saw the value of the apartment appreciate by a significant 78%. The average resale property price in the project currently stands at ₹39,522 per sq. ft.

Interestingly, Akki is not the only Bollywood star who has an apartment in the housing complex. Other big-ticket celebs include Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, among others.

This sale comes just two years after Akshay, in 2022, reportedly sold one of his properties in Andheri West, Mumbai, to music director Daboo Malik for an estimated Rs 6 crore.

On the work front, Akshay is currently awaiting the box office results of his film 'Sky Force' which hit the big screen today, January 24. He also has films like 'Bhooth Bangla', 'Housefull 5', 'Jolly LLB 3', and 'Shankara', among many others.
