Akshay Kumar shared the news of his beloved mother passing away this morning. His family and friends attend the last rites.
Following the sudden demise of Akshay’s mother Aruna Bhatia, the actor’s family and friends from the industry attend the last rites at a crematorium in Mumbai.
Along with Akshay Kumar, daughter Nitara and family, seen attending the funeral were celebrities like Karan Kapadia, Vipul Shah, Riteish Deshmukh, Rohit Shetty, Sajid Khan, Ramesh Taurani and others.

Akshay took to his social media handles to share the news of his mother’s demise. He wrote, ‘She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.’

Many of his friends and Bollywood counterparts like Ajay Devgn, Nimrat Kaur, Vikas Bahl, Jacqueline Fernandez, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and others took to their respective social media handles to mourn the loss of the actor’s mother and share their condolences with the actor and his family.
Aruna Bhatia was keeping unwell since the last few days and was hospitalised in the ICU. Akshay, who was shooting in London, had rushed back to Mumbai as soon as he got to know about his mother's deteriorating health condition.
