Akshay Kumar’s ‘Airlift’ co-star Nimrat Kaur mourns the loss of the actor’s mother who passed away this morning.
Taking to her Twitter handle, Nimrat shared Akshay Kumar’s Tweet on his mother’s demise and wrote, ‘So very sorry for your profound loss. Deepest condolences and my heartfelt prayers to you and the whole family in this grave hour. Satnaam wahe guru @akshaykumar’

He wrote, ‘She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.’
Not many know that Akshay has lost his mother just a day before his 54th birthday. Twinkle Khanna and daughter Nitara, who had also accompanied Akshay to London, will be returning to Mumbai today.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay has some very interesting line-up of films in his kitty which includes, ‘Bachchan Pandey’, ‘Raksha Bandhan’, ‘Ram Setu’, ‘Atrangi Re’ and others. He is also awaiting the release of Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ co-starring Katrina Kaif in the lead role. The movie was supposed to hit the theatres last year in March. However, the film got postponed indefinitely owing to the pandemic and the resulting lockdown.
