Akshay Kumar recently penned a heartfelt note on his birthday for his late beloved mother Aruna Bhatia.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Akshay shared a sweet picture of himself with his mom where she is seen giving him a peck on his cheek.

Along with the lovely picture, Akshay wrote, ‘Would have never liked it this way but am sure mom is singing Happy Birthday to me from right up there! Thanks to each one of you for your condolences and wishes alike. Life goes on.’
Aruna Bhatia has been keeping unwell and was even admitted to the ICU. Akshay had taken to his social media handles to thank everybody for their prayers. However, the actor’s mom passed away on September 8. Taking to his micro-blogging site, Akshay shared the news with his fans and friends.

He wrote, ‘She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.’
Akshay, who was shooting in London, returned to the country for the funeral that was held in Mumbai. His wife Twinkle Khanna and daughter Nitara, who had accompanied him also came back with him. The last rites was seen attended by celebs like Rohit Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh, Sajid Khan, Karan Kapadia and others.
Meanwhile, on the work front, he has a line-up of some very interesting films in his kitty which includes, ‘Raksha Bandhan’, ‘Ram Setu’, ‘Bachchan Pandey’, ‘Prithviraj’ and others.
