Ajmer: Truck collides with bus in Kishangarh, 1 killed, 20 injured

AJMER: In a collision between a speeding truck and a roadways bus on Sunday, one person was killed and 20 passengers were injured in Kishangarh.

Due to the collision the bus drifted towards a footpath, killing a sugarcane juice vendor on the spot. According to Madanganj police station, a roadways bus was standing at the Kishangarh bus stand with passengers for Jaipur.

The bus had to cross the under bridge of the national highway, but suddenly a speeding truck entered the under bridge and collided with the bus. The collision was so severe that the front of the truck was completely smashed. Also, a juice vendor, identified as Ghanshyam Das (42) died in the collision when the bus drifted towards a footpath, where he had his juice stall.

Police said 20 out of 30 passengers in the bus were injured and brought out from the bus with the help of locals and police. They were sent to government hospital in Kishangarh. 17 injured were later referred to JLN Hospital in Ajmer, out of which 7 are critical.

There was a traffic jam for 1 hour and police opened the road and registered a case. Police seized the truck while the driver fled away from the spot.
