Ajit Singh murder case: Fromer MP Dhananjay declared proclaimed offender

LUCKNOW: Chief judicial magistrate R K Gupta on Tuesday declared former MP Dhananjay Singh a proclaimed offender in connection with sensational Ajit Singh murder case in Lucknow early this year. The court fixed July 19 as the next date in the matter.

The court passed the order on an application moved by the investigating officer Chandrashekhar Singh. It was submitted in the application that the NBW was issued against the former MP and Rs 25,000 reward was also announced on his head but even then he is not traceable. Hence in order to make proper investigation, it is necessary that the court should declare him absconder so that his property could be attached at appropriate stage.

Ajit Singh was shot dead on January 6, 2021 near Kathauta crossing . An FIR was registered with Vibhuti Khand police station in the case. During the probe, name of former MP came into light in the murder case.
