Ajax midfielder Dusan Tadic delivers his verdict on Hakim Ziyech's Chelsea transfer

Ajax midfielder Dusan Tadic has backed teammate Hakim Ziyech to succeed in the Premier League when he departs the Eredivisie side to join Chelsea in the summer.

The Blues announced earlier this month that an agreement has been reached for the Morocco international, who will move at the end of the season in similar circumstances to the capture of Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund last year.

Ziyech has excelled once again in the Netherlands this season, scoring six goals and registering 12 assists in his 19 league appearances for the Dutch champions.

Tadic, formerly of Southampton, is aware that it is difficult to achieve the same sort of form in England to what is displayed in the Eredivisie but he believes Ziyech will shine at Stamford Bridge.

"I know from my own experience that the Premier League is a tough competition," he told De Telegraaf.

"But I hope and count on Hakim to succeed because he is a quality player. And  Chelsea seems to me a club where it fits well, because it is an attacking team.

"Hakim comes into its own in this. I hope we can all give him a nice farewell: with three prizes."
