Ajax boss provides big update on Andre Onana's future to alert Chelsea and Tottenham

Ajax boss Erik ten Hag has confirmed that the Dutch giants have a transfer agreement with Andre Onana if the right club comes in for him.

The 24-year-old has really made a name for himself since making his debut for Ajax in 2016 and he seems destined to move on at some point in the future.

A host of Europe's top clubs have been linked with a move for the highly-rated goalkeeper, including both Chelsea and Tottenham.

The Blues have been linked with a summer move for a new goalkeeper with Kepa Arrizabalaga enduring a turbulent season in west London, with Spurs also mentioned in regards to moving for a new shot-stopper after some high-profile mistakes from the experienced Hugo Lloris.

Well, if the clubs are indeed keen on signing Onana in the summer then they may get their man if they submit an appealing offer to the Dutch club.

"Andre is very important to us and of course we don’t want to lose him," Ten Hag told Dutch publication Algemeen Dagblad (via Evening Standard).

"But it’s true that we have an agreement from last year about the development scenario and what steps we will take if the right club comes in at the right price."

Speaking about his own future at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, the Cameroon international has already admitted that he wants to move on for a new challenge.

"Don't get me wrong, I am very happy with Ajax and I am very grateful to the club," he told AD last week.

"It was five great years here, but now my time has come to take a step. We made that appointment last year.

"I don't yet know what will happen, but my ambitions and agreements are clear."

It's not just Chelsea and Spurs who have been tipped to move for the goalkeeper as Barcelona have also been linked.

Frank Lampard's side have already raided Ajax ahead of the 2020/21 season with Hakim Ziyech signing a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
