Ajax 'agree transfer fee with club' to sell Matthijs de Ligt

Ajax have agreed a transfer fee with Juventus over the sale of Matthijs de Ligt, according to reports from Holland.

De Ligt has been linked to a number of huge clubs including Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Liverpool this summer but it is Juventus who have apparently won the race for his signature.

Reports earlier in the week claimed De Ligt had agreed a contract with the Italian giants, which would see him earn £10.8million per season.

The amount equates to around £230,000 per week, and is nearly double what Paulo Dybala currently earns in Turin.

De Ligt is said to be very happy with this contract.

The only thing holding up the transfer was the two clubs agreeing on a fee, prompting De Ligt's agent Mino Raiola to call on Ajax to make the deal happen.

Raiola told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf: "Agreements have been made with Matthijs and it is up to Ajax how to deal with this."

It seems Raiola's pleas have been answered as the same paper is now reporting that the two clubs have finally agreed on a transfer fee.

The agreed fee has not yet been announced, but it is believed that Ajax wanted around €75million (£67.3m) for their captain.
