AJ Pritchard splits from girlfriend Abbie Quinnen after 3 years leaving her 'devastated'

AJ Pritchard has ended his relationship with his dancer girlfriend Abbie Quinnen after three years of dating.

The former Strictly star, 27, has called time on their romance last week, leaving Abbie 'devastated'.

The couple had a tough year after Abbie, 25, sustained third-degree burns when a Tiktok tutorial went horribly wrong in January 2021, leaving her scarred for life and needing surgery.

The couple started dating back in 2019, after being introduced by mutual friends. They went on to dance together in shows as well as litter their Instagram with loved-up selfies.

A source told The Sun that she's 'devastated' by the end of their relationship.

The two met when Abbie auditioned for his Get On The Floor Live tour and AJ fell for her immediately, as reported online.

Both AJ and Abbie took to Instagram to announce the news as they shared a video showing them both smiling wildly and holding hands while on the Greek island of Crete.

AJ said he was "Feeling HAPPY" while sharing a red heart emoji, and Abbie declared they were “Making memories” as they shared the same image while going official.

The duo were so close that even AJ's brother tagged along to many of their outings.

She previously joked that he was practically 'a part of the relationship', with Abbie telling OK: "He's like our child! We do everything with him."

AJ and Abbie even spent the coronavirus lockdown together, sharing snaps from their time together.

After the horrific accident last year, Abbie said the pair were closer than ever, with AJ being a constant support as she recovered from the life-changing injuries.

The split will come as a shock to fans after the couple spoke of how they supported one another after the horrific fireball accident.

The couple had been attempting to transform a wine bottle into a vase by wrapping rope around it, which had been dipped in chemicals. This was then set on fire, though the flames caught Abbie.

The dancer's hair and body were set alight, with her admitted to hospital. She initially underwent three skin grafts and has since received further treatment following the accident.

"There were times when I would find AJ hysterically crying from guilt and helplessness and that would really upset me," she said last month.

"It went up, straight away, it went straight across the room and it caught my hair instantly and then unfortunately my body as well, my clothes."

AJ added: "Seconds feel like a lifetime.

"When Abbie hit the floor and tried to roll and grabbed a blanket to put the fire out, at the same time I was grabbing wet towels to put on the areas, calling the ambulance, going to A&E, it felt like a whole year."

AJ supported his girlfriend as she recovered from the burns, with the two sticking side-by-side at events and shows.
