AJ Pritchard finally made his much-awaited debut on Hollyoaks - unfortunately for the Strictly star, fans of the Channel 4 soap weren't too impressed.
The dancer, 26, arrived in the village as Marco, a rival of Trish Minniver's (Denise Welch) and sat down to watch her... interesting performance on stage.
But viewers were a little distracted by AJ's acting and baffled fans took to Twitter to comment, with one writing: "Marco was wooden wasn’t he? #Hollyoaks."
While another commented: "Wtf is this s*** I'm watching. I mean the acting if you want to call it that and that dancer guy wtf I can act better then this #Hollyoaks."
A third wrote: "#Hollyoaks That AJ Pritchard is a proper wooden actor."
Another questioned: "Is it me or is Marco talking very robotic."
"This guy's acting is so cringe #Hollyoaks," one winced.
A viewer complained: "One of the worst #Hollyoaks episodes! Can we get rid of Trish & the dance school and as for AJ Pritchard’s ‘wooden’ acting total rubbish!! @Hollyoaks."
"I can’t believe we will be featuring on Hollyoaks, we have grown up with the show on TV and it’s always been one of our favourite serial dramas," AJ said after confirming the news.
The dancer quit Strictly early last year in a bid to pursue new opportunities, one of which included a stint on the first UK-based I'm A Celeb in Castle Gwrych.
AJ finished sixth on the show, which saw Giovanna Fletcher crowned as the Queen of the Castle.
Meanwhile, since leaving Love Island, Curtis has appeared on the Greatest Dancer as a receptionist and, more recently, Celebs Go Dating as he tried to find love. Again.
