AJ Pritchard has hailed his "beautiful and brave" girlfriend Abbie in a new Instagram post after she suffered bad burns.
The former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer, 26, was left horrified when his girlfriend Abbie Quinnen accidentally suffered third degree burns for an Instagram stunt gone wrong.
Abbie had attempted to cut a wine bottle in half using a rope dipped in a flammable chemical.
However, this prompted the bottle explode and Abbie caught fire, suffering severe burns.
Speaking on This Morning earlier on Tuesday alongside his brother Curtis Pritchard, AJ revealed: "Her clothes caught fire, her hair caught fire. The most upsetting thing is seeing someone you love on fire and feeling so hopeless."
Now, as Abbie recuperates at home in bed and will require further hospital visits, AJ has paid tribute to her on Instagram.
Sharing an image of the blonde beauty, AJ captioned the image: "My Beautiful, Brave Abbie... [red heart emoji]".
He also shared a supportive fan video from Abbie's own profile to his Instagram Stories.
Abbie had written over the clip: "This is the nicest thing ever [pleading face emoji]
"thank you all so much for making me feel so supported [red heart emoji, prayer hands emoji] @abbiexquinnen".
Fans and friends of AJ and Abbie took to the comments section of AJ's post to show the love for the couple and wish Abbie well in her recovery.
One person penned: "I hope Abbie is okay sending loads of love and virtual hugs [red heart emoji]".
A different Instagram user commented: "sending so so much love to you all, hope she’s okay she’s so brave. wishing her a fast recovery [red heart emoji]".
Meanwhile, another individual noted: "So glad your beautiful, precious Abbie is healing well AJ. She has the heart and courage of a lioness, you must be so proud of her.
"All your love and tender care will help her through this. You take care of yourself too, I'm sure family are helping you both all they can. love and hugs to you both [two red hearts emoji]".
