Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace rushed to hospital earlier this week - ahead of her step-mother's funeral.
The reality TV star, 43, was worried she wouldn't be able to deliver her reading at the funeral after suffering with a fever and extreme tonsillitis.
She had difficulty reaching her GP and was eventually forced into hospital over the health issue.
The Big Brother star shared her experience with concerned fans on social media.
She wrote in a post to her almost 500,000 followers on Instagram : "Waiting for my doctor to call me all day. All I need is antibiotics for tonsillitis."
Aisleyne however said that her GP was unable to call and asked: "What am I supposed to do?"
She added: "Reading a long poem tomorrow at step-mum's funeral. Please help."
The model followed-up by stating that she had since called NHS 111, having "forgot about the service" initially, with her admitting in the second post that she had "panicked."
And in a subsequent update, Aisleyne shared a photo of herself in what appeared to be a waiting room wearing a face mask.
She wrote alongside it: "In hospital, waiting to be seen. All this extra money on the NHS. Wish my doctor just saved me all this by calling me. I waited all Monday and today."
The situation finally came to a close in the early hours of this morning, with Aisleyne sharing a photo of a box of clarithromycin - an antibiotic used to treat infections.
She commented in the post: "High fever and severe tonsillitis. If only I could have started these tablets yesterday. Wish me luck for the reading tomorrow."
The Mirror approached a rep of Aisleyne for comment.

Aisleyne rose to fame on the seventh series of Big Brother in 2006. She made it to the final and placed third. She later returned for the series that was broadcast in 2015.
