Baggage handlers at Heathrow and Luton airports are to stage strikes at the end of the month in separate disputes over pay.
Unite said 300 of its members employed by GH London at Heathrow’s Terminal 2 and 4 will walk out for four days from April 26 after voting by 99% in favour of action.
The union said its members were facing six years of pay freezes.
Meanwhile, 120 Unite members employed by the same company at Luton, will strike for a week from the same date in a separate row over pay.
Airlines handled by GH London at Heathrow include: Air India, Thai Airlines, AlItalia, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Gulf Air, Air Serbia and Air Malta.
At Luton Airport GH London provides ground-handling services to Wizz Air.
Kevin Hall, Unite regional officer representing the Heathrow workers, said: “The overwhelming vote for strike action is proof that workers at Heathrow are fed up with year on year pay freezes.
“It is now time for GH London to recognise its workers’ contribution with a significant pay increase and a commitment to pay a minimum of the London living wage.”
