Airline launches solution for passengers who don't want to sit near kids

Booking a holiday - including flights - can be a daunting experiencing for anyone whether you're a solo traveller or booking for a family.

But the pressure of doing so is even more heightened nowadays with the added worries of Covid so when you're finally on the plane and you have time to relax, the last thing you need is a screaming child sitting behind you kicking your seat.

So with nobody wanting to be stuck in this situation, one airline is taking action against little ones who kick and scream.

When customers pre-booking their seats, most companies will offer an aerial-view map of the plane, showing which seats have already been taken.

However, Japan Airlines have introducing an icon which shows which seats have been booked by travellers who are below 12-years-old meaning you can book the furthest seat away from children.

Sadly if a family book through a third-party website, it won't show on the seating map.

The website explains: "Passengers travelling with children between eight days and two years old who select their seats on the Japan Airlines website will have a child icon displayed on their seats on the seat selection screen. This lets other passengers know a child may be sitting there."
