A woman has admitted stealing nearly £40,000 from the engineering company she worked for.
Arlene Watson, 37, of Chapelhall, appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court this week.
She admitted two charges of embezzlement.
The court heard Watson worked for global company Torishima whose services include the provision of cooling systems and industrial coatings.
She was employed by Torishima Europe Limited and Torishima Service Solutions at bases in Strathclyde Business Park, Bellshill, and Kirkshaws Road, Coatbridge.
Watson embezzled £15,753 between December 2016 and December the following year and £23,739 between August 2017 and March 2019.
She has no previous convictions.
Defence solicitor Ross McGowan said that when the crimes came to light his client entered a "voluntary agreement" with the company to pay back the money.
Mr McGowan stated: "She has been repaying £1500 a month and so far more than £29,000 has been recovered."
Sheriff David Bicket called for a criminal justice social work report and an electronic tagging assessment.
Sentence was deferred until next month and Watson had her bail continued.
