Scott Agnew reckons Airdrie are in a false position in League One as he targets a win over old club Alloa tonight to fire them back up the table.
The Diamonds are sitting second bottom after a 0-0 draw with league leaders Queen's Park on Saturday and play their game in hand over their rivals when they host the Wasps at New Broomfield.
And the 34-year-old player/assistant manager feels victory over Barry Ferguson's Wasps tonight can help get them back in contention at the right end of the table.
Aggy, who had two spells at Alloa between 2007 and 2010, said: "I don't think the points reflect our performances so far.
"The Falkirk and Dumbarton games, we should have taken more from them.

"But we are not panicking.
"It was important we didn't get beat by Queens and we've done that.
"We've got an opportunity on Tuesday and if we win that we are right back in the mix.

"We are not far away. I think defensively we are sound.
"If we score first or take one of our chances, it would open up games for us.
"We will play better and results will come."
Ian Murray's Diamonds hope to have more players back from isolation and fit to face the Wasps.
Calum Gallagher hobbled off against the Spiders but is expected to be fine for the game at New Broomfield, while Callum Smith should shack off a knock that ruled him out on Saturday and Salim Kouider-Aissa could also return.

Aggy added: "Salim and Smithy are big players for us and the quicker we can get them back the better for all of us.
"I think Smithy will be okay for Tuesday, but Sal is just out of isolation and he'll need to do a bit still."
