Airdrie tour stop for Irn-Bru carol crew

A Christmas choir with a difference will be visiting an Airdrie supermarket on Friday – as the Irn-Bru carol crew arrive for a “phenomenally festive” sing-song.

The orange-clad singers will be at Morrisons on Gartlea road at 12.30pm on December 13 as part of a day-long whistlestop tour beginning at the AG Barr factory in Cumbernauld and ending up in Edinburgh.

Christmas shoppers will be serenaded as they fill their trollies, and are even invited to join in with the help of the “unique” song sheets being handed out during the performance.

The carol crew are promising to “belt out festive favourites with a Bru-tastic twist – their quirky setlist will include Hark! The Happy Drinkers Sing, Joy to the Weeg and Jingle Bru.”
