Airdrieonians have completed the signing of Callum Smith from Hamilton Accies on a two-year deal.
The 21-year-old departed Accies, despite featuring regularly this season, after an agreement was reached to allow Smith to leave New Douglas Park.
The versatile forward has returned to the Diamonds after a successful loan spell during the 2019-20 season when he scored six goals in 35 appearances.
Smith, a former Scotland youth international, is likely to be involved in Airdrie's League One clash against Dumbarton on Saturday.
He told the Airdrie website: "It’s brilliant to be back, I loved my first spell here.
“The first home game will be a good day, coming back and seeing the fans. I’d like to see us pushing at the top end of the table, it’s a big club with a good squad and I’m buzzing to be back!”
Diamonds boss Ian Murray added: “We’re delighted to get Callum back, he did exceptionally well here a couple of years ago before moving to the Premier League.
“We kept an eye on him and kept in contact with him, and Hamilton were a dream to deal with so it was a very easy decision for us.”
