Airdrie sign former Kelty Hearts attacker Dylan Easton

Airdrie have completed the signing of former Kelty Hearts forward Dylan Easton.

The 27-year-old played an important role as Kelty were crowned Lowland League champions last season before they achieved promotion to League Two after a play-off win over Brechin City.

Easton is a versatile attacking player and he will bolster Ian Murray's squad as they attempt to mount at promotion bid in League One next season.

Diamonds boss Murray signed Easton when he was Dumbarton boss and he is delighted to have agreed a deal for the former Livingston man.

Murray told the Airdrie website: “I had Dylan when I was at Dumbarton many years ago, so I’m familiar with his strengths and weaknesses!

“I feel that he can add a lot of quality to our forward play, his technique and creativity are excellent and he can produce something out of nothing.

“He’s another great addition to the full-time squad, and it’s a case of quality over quantity for us so I’m very happy with all three of our signings today.”

Easton added: "I’m delighted to be joining such a great club, and I can’t wait to get started.

“I hope to help the team as much as possible by creating and scoring goals, and most importantly I’m here to help Airdrie push for the league title!”
