Five lucky Airdrie neighbours are celebrating an early Christmas present after becoming winners in the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The participating residents in Clarkston Drive will each receive £1000 after their street’s postcode was chosen as today’s daily prize winner.
Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt congratulated the lucky Airdrie players, saying: “It’s brilliant news and I hope they enjoy spending their winnings.”

Today’s ticket draw was promoted on behalf of African Parks, which manages and restores national parks in Africa and has received over £4.3 million worth of funding thanks to generous players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
At least a third of ticket sales goes directly to charities, with players having so far raised more than £600 million for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
