FIVE lucky Airdrie neighbours were feeling grand over the weekend after winning £1000 each.
The Devonview Street residents netted the windfall when ML6 9DQ was announced as a daily prize winner with the People’s Postcode Lottery on Saturday.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners, saying: “What great news for our winners! Congratulations to them.
“I hope they enjoy spending their winnings and go treat themselves to something nice.”
The draw was promoted on behalf of Clic Sargent which has received more than £10.9 million in funding thanks to players.
The charity provides vital emotional, practical, financial and clinical support to young cancer patients and their families during and after treatment.
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding next year.
