Airdrie man abducted from home and left dumped by side of road with serious injuries

A 59-year-old man has been left seriously injured after being abducted from his home in Airdrie , North Lanarkshire.

Police were called to a disturbance in the town's Frew Street just after 12.30am this morning - with the occupant of the home later found injured over four miles away at Rankin Crescent in Greengairs.

It's believed the man was forced into a dark-coloured car, later being dumped by the side of the road with serious injuries.
