Airdrie have announced that Callum Fordyce and Calum Gallagher have signed contract extensions, and will step up to the roles of club captain and vice-captain, respectively.
Having taken the armband before, Fordyce steps up to the role of captain following the departure of Sean Crighton.
Former Livingston, Clyde and Queen of the South defender Fordyce, 28, told the club's website: "This is probably the club that I've felt the most at home at.
"I've got a great relationship with the manager [Ian Murray] and the other players, so I'm delighted to be staying somewhere I'm enjoying my football.
"It's a massive honour being named captain, although I have big boots to fill! Sean has been a very close friend to me, both on and off the pitch, and it's great to take over from him in leading the boys.
"It's going to be a massive season ahead for us, and I'm looking forward to playing my part."
Ex-Rangers, St Mirren and Dumbarton striker Gallagher, 26, said: "I'm chuffed to get it sorted and over the line.
"We were so close last year, and hopefully we can take that and use it as fuel for the fire this season.
"I'm getting to a point in my career when I am quite senior in the dressing room, so it's nice to be acknowledged by the gaffer with the vice-captaincy.
"I'm looking forward to supporting the boys and supporting Dycey as the captain, and it's an honour to add that responsibility to whatever else I can do to help the club to be as successsful as we can."
