Airdrie assault - man, 26, raced to hospital after attack at Tesco

A man was rushed to hospital with injuries following an assault in Airdrie.

The 26-year-old was attacked at a Tesco store in Airdrie Retail Park this morning (June 29).

A spokeswoman from Police Scotland said: "Officers were called at 11.15am to reports that a man had been assaulted at a Tesco in Airdrie Retail Park on Gartlea Road.

"A 26-year-old man was taken to Monklands hospital where he is being treated for facial injuries.

"A 30-year-old man is arrested and enquiries are continuing."
