Airbus reveals the cabin of the future

Aerospace pioneers Airbus have given passengers a glimpse of how cabins could look in the future.

The company is currently rolling out its Airspace by Airbus cabins on its jets - offering personal space, larger overhead storage bins, advanced cabin lighting and the latest generation in-flight entertainment system.

But while this is an upgrade on existing planes the future is looking even brighter.

Airspace Cabin Vision 2030 includes family compartments where parents and children can face each other like a table seat on a train.

There would be gaming systems - personalised through technology, with tech also helping with things like ordering food - imagine a McDonald's digital menu board but at 10,000ft in the air.

Under the concept there would also be bunk beds for people to take a nap as well as a gym for tech led fitness sessions.
