Cops have launched a probe after an air pistol was discovered.
Police raced to Langmuir Road, Kirkintilloch, at around 9.20am on Monday, November 29.
It came after an air pistol was found.
According to local reports, a police cordon was in place near to Holy Trinity School.
One person wrote on social media : " [The police cordon has] been there since this afternoon.
"Police tape all round the bus stop and grass area behind it."
Another added there were reports a firearm had been discovered.
Police have now launched an investigation and urging anyone with information to come forward.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called to Langmuir Road, Kirkintilloch, around 9.20am on Monday, 29 November, following the discovery of an air pistol.
"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0658 of 29 November.”
