There aren't many little pleasures in life quite as satisfying as the humble Sunday roast dinner.
Honestly speaking, everyone knows that roast potatoes are the best and often, the most important addition to any Sunday plate.
Roasties are usually cooked in lashings of oil or fat, which isn't the healthiest solution but certainly makes them tasty. However, air fryer fans are using the alternative cooking method to produce the 'perfect roast potatoes'.
Social media cooks are using tinned potatoes that cost no more than 50p a can to create mouth-watering results.
All you need is an air fryer, oil or cooking spray and seasonings - many are opting for a combination of salt, pepper, garlic; with cajun seasoning also proving popular.
The perfect roast potatoes take as little as 12 minutes to make from start to finish.
In a TikTok clip, one user poured the potatoes out of the tin into a bowl, where they then added a generous amount of seasoning.
Next, the potatoes are moved into a bowl before being moved to the air fryer. After cooking them for 12 minutes at 220C, one said: “They were delicious, so quick as well."
Another user commented saying: "I’ve made them loads now. They are so yummy."

Some users appear to be divided on how long the potatoes should be left in the air fryer for, with one saying: "I whack them in the air fryer for 20 minutes. But I take them out after 10 and give them a wee shake. Honestly, these are so good. They’re so soft and mushy."
A second commenter added: "I decided to make the air fryer tinned potatoes today. I put them in at 200C for 25 minutes but they probably only needed 20. Lovely and soft and fluffy, and crispy on the outside. Give them a go, they’re really good."
