Does Air Force have the secondary to hang around with the Hawaii passing game? Sort of.
The Falcons are giving up over 200 yards per game, but that’s a little skewed with a whole slew of running teams on the slate. It’s possible to throw on the Falcons.
Does Hawaii have the run defense to hang around with the Air Force running game? Not really.
The Rainbow Warriors will get ripped on for well over five yards per carry as the Falcons come up with plenty of third down conversions and no big mistakes. However, they’re not going to dominate the time of possession battle against a Hawaii team that’s great at hitting the midrange passes to own control of the game.
The problem for Air Force is its pass rush – there isn’t enough of one. It’ll have issues allowing Cole McDonald find his second and third receivers as the Hawaii offense dinks and dunks its way to a very strong, very fun win.
