Air ambulance sent to Loch Lomond as A82 closed after horror crash between minibus and car

Both lanes of the A82 by Loch Lomond have been closed after a horror crash between a minibus and car.

The collision happened south of Luss at around 2.50pm on Friday.

Two ambulances as well and an air ambulance have been sent to the scene with at least one person believed to be seriously injured.

Police confirmed a diversion has been put in place while emergency services are in attendance.

Huge tailbacks are being reported in the area.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call to attend a road traffic incident on the A82 near Aldochlay. 

"Two ambulances, a paramedic response unit, our trauma team and an air ambulance have been dispatched and our crews are still currently working on scene."

A police spokeswoman said: "Police were called to a serious road accident on the A82 near Luss at around 2.50pm on Friday.

"The incident involves a car and a minibus. Emergency services remain on the scene. The road is closed in both directions."
