An air ambulance landed on a bowling green after a woman was knocked down by a motorbike.
Emergency services , including police and paramedics, were called to Telegraph Road in Heswall at around 4.26pm on Thursday to reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a pedestrian.
It is believed that the incident took place close to the Church of the Good Shepherd before officers from Merseyside Police blocked the road for a short time.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed that the motorbike rider had suffered injuries to his back and chest.
They said: "Officers were called to Telegraph Road at around 4.26pm to reports of a collision.
"The crash involved a motorcycle and a pedestrian and paramedics were called to the scene.
"Both the pedestrian and motorbike rider were conscious and breathing but the motorcyclist is complaining of pain in his back and chest."
The road reopened shortly after 5pm.
