An air ambulance was scrambled to a park in Tameside after an 11-year-old girl was bitten by a dog.
Paramedics were seen rushing into the play area of Victoria Park, Denton on Friday afternoon.
A local resident, who asked not to be named, said: "We were heading to the park for a walk and saw the air ambulance circling round Denton a few times, getting lower all the time.
"And then as we approached the park from the square we saw the ambulance coming towards us like it was going to land and just caught it landing in the park.
"We saw them get out and rush over to the play area where there was quite a large crowd of people. We didn't go any closer and left the park short after."
The girl's injuries are not believed to be serious.
A GMP spokeswoman said: "At around 5.50pm on Friday, September 18, police were called to reports that a child had been bitten by a dog on Market Street, Denton.
"Officers attended and established that an 11-year-old girl had received facial injuries after stroking a dog on a lead. She received hospital treatment for minor injuries.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
