Air ambulance lands in Cardiff's Victoria Park after man suffers 'medical episode'

An air ambulance landed in Cardiff's Victoria Park after a man suffered a 'medical episode'.

The incident, which happened just after midday on Tuesday (December 7), also saw police and ambulance crews called to nearby Clive Road in Canton.

Pictures from the scene showed two police and two ambulance vehicles in attendance, while an area outside a house on the road was also taped off.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "Shortly after midday today officers received a request to support the Air Ambulance which was landing in Victoria Park and to assist a critical care team to attend to a man who had suffered a medical episode."

It comes after a cyclist was left with potentially life-changing injuries following a hit-and-run in Adamsdown on Monday night.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision on System Street failed to stop and left the scene, with the force now urging them to come forward. You can read more about that incident here.
