Air ambulance lands at park in Trafford after reports of 'incident' at tram stop

An air ambulance has landed at a park in Old Trafford tonight after reports of an incident at a Metrolink stop.

The ambulance service was called to Seymour Park at around 17.12pm on Tuesday evening.

Reports suggest emergency services were called to reports of an incident at Trafford Bar tram stop.

It is believed a person, thought to be in their 50s, had been injured during an 'accident.'

They were treated by paramedics from the North West Air Ambulance. The extent of their injuries have not been confirmed.

Pictures seen by the Manchester Evening News show helicopter crews at Seymour Park, off Northumberland Road in Stretford.

It has not been confirmed where the person fell ill.

A spokesperson for North West Air Ambulance said: "We were called to reports of an accidental injury at 17.12pm on Tuesday (28 July).

"The incident involved a person in their 50's."

Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for comment.
