Air ambulance lands at Oldland Common after 'incident' and person taken to hospital

A person has been taken to hospital in an air ambulance after an 'incident' at Oldland Common.

South Western Ambulance Service said it received a call around 7pm today (May 5) and dispatched an ambulance, two hazardous area response (HART) teams and an air ambulance.

The person has been taken to Southmead Hospital.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We received a call at 19:12 regarding an incident in the Oldland Common area of Bristol.

"We dispatched a Double Crewed Ambulance, 2 HART resources and an air ambulance. A patient was conveyed to Southmead Hospital."

Avon and Somerset Police has also been approached for comment.
