Air ambulance lands after man suffers neck injury in alleged 'domestic disturbance'

An air ambulance was called after a man allegedly suffered neck injuries in a ‘domestic disturbance’.

Emergency services were called to Telford Drive, in St Helens, on Tuesday morning.

Police, an air ambulance and paramedics were called to the scene after the early morning disturbance.

Officers were responding to a “domestic-related disturbance” at 9.15am.

The force said a 24-year-old man was taken to hospital with an injury to his neck.

The man was then later arrested and charged on suspicion of harassment without violence.

The force said Liam Hill, of Mill Lane, Sutton Leach, will appear at St Helens Magistrates’ Court today.

A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said: “A man has been charged following a domestic-related incident on Telford Drive, St Helens on Tuesday, 28 July.

“Liam Hill, 24 years of Mill Lane, Sutton Leach was charged with harassment without violence.

“He will appear at St Helens Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday 30 of July.”
