Air ambulance called to Wetherspoon pub in Llandudno after man falls down stairs

An air ambulance had to be called to a Welsh Wetherspoon pub after a man fell down a flight of stairs.

Paramedics were called to The Palladium Wetherspoon pub on Gloddaeth Street in Llandudno  at around 7pm on Friday after the man slipped down a flight of stairs which lead from the gentleman's toilets.

He suffered numerous cuts to the head as a result of the fall, according to North Wales Live and was unconscious for around 10 minutes.

The Welsh Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, as well as the Wales Air Ambulance , which landed in the centre of the town.

The man was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan following the incident.

It is not clear whether he was flown to hospital or taken there by ambulance.

Police officers also attended the scene of the incident.

Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “We trust that the man makes a full recovery and send our thoughts and wishes to him and his family.”

The pub remains open as normal.
