Air ambulance called to Nottinghamshire nursery after 'medical emergency'

An air ambulance was sent to a Nottinghamshire village as part of a response to a medical emergency reported at a nursery. Paramedics were sent to Small People nursery in Colston Road, Cropwell Bishop after receiving a call at 4.04pm on Tuesday, June 27.

East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) said an ambulance, two fast response cars and an air ambulance were deployed after reports of a medical emergency. It said one patient was taken to Queen's Medical Centre in a crewed ambulance.

A spokesman for EMAS said: “We received a call at 4.04pm on 27 June to Small People nursery in Cropwell Bishop. The caller reported a medical emergency.

"We sent a crewed ambulance and two paramedics in fast response cars. The air ambulance was also in attendance. One patient was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre via crewed ambulance.”
