Air ambulance called to incident near Fantasy Island theme park

One person has been airlifted to hospital after falling ill near to the Fantasy Island resort in Lincolnshire.

An air ambulance was seen hovering above the theme park at around 10.30am this morning.

LincolnshireLive reports many people on social media were questioning why the air ambulance was there.

And East Midlands Ambulance Service [EMAS] has now revealed why.

An EMAS spokesperson said that the air ambulance was sent to a medical emergency and a person has been airlifted to hospital.

They said: "We received a call at 9.23am on May 1 to a caravan park in Ingoldmells.

"The caller reported that someone was experiencing a medical emergency.

"We sent a crewed ambulance and the air ambulance, and one patient was taken to Lincoln County Hospital by helicopter.”

Eyewitnesses say that the ambulance left Fantasy Island at 11am.
